This ranking demonstrates the passport's access to various regions across Asia and beyond, though it does not currently include visa-free access to the Schengen Area. With an openness score of 42 and a global score of 55, Indian nationals can navigate several international borders with relative ease compared to historical data from 2006, when the visa-free count was significantly lower at 25. Travelers holding an India passport can benefit from visa-free entry to 26 countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Nepal.
