Holders of a Nepal passport can enter several countries without a prior visa, including India, Singapore, and the Philippines. Additionally, visa-on-arrival facilities are available in destinations such as Bangladesh, the Maldives, and Madagascar, while electronic travel authorizations (eTA) are required for Sri Lanka and Kenya. For many other regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and most of Europe, a standard visa remains mandatory. The historical passport ranking shows fluctuations over the years, moving from a rank of 76 in 2006 to its current 2026 position, with visa-free access counts varying between 20 and 40 destinations over the last two decades.
