China Passport Ranking – Visa Free Access to 82 Countries

The China passport currently ranks 64th globally in 2025, offering visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 82 destinations worldwide. Chinese passport holders have seen significant improvements in travel mobility over the past two decades, rising from 78th place with only 18 visa-free destinations in 2006 to its current standing. While the Chinese passport has strengthened considerably, particularly since 2018 when it jumped to 71st place with 74 accessible countries, it still offers moderate international travel freedom compared to top-ranking passports. This steady improvement reflects China's growing diplomatic relationships and economic influence, providing citizens with expanding opportunities for business, tourism, and international engagement.
